Hiya guys. KSC is right (completely). Saying that certain anime have teams of people working on them is fine but like he/she (sorry, no offence at all meant) is saying, only really 2 or 3 people are needed. You could get away with just 1 if you're as talented as our venerable host, Nomake. That guy can translate and time/sub. That is really, really cool. I don't think it'll be too long before (1) Someone who can dedicate the necessary time required who can do the job will take it on. The world has seen what a few peeps can do when they're passionate about something. Or (2) My mate who sorted me out the hooky DVDs in the first place gets the next 6 episodes and I can blag it for another 3 months.

At the end of the day, we had to wait nearly half a year to get from episode 6 to episode 7. I like to think it was worth the wait because like I said, I (along with the rest of the world) wanted the damn things done so we could continue following the story. Obviously, I'm not gonna stop watching it because it's no longer in English. I'll have to just get around it. I'm pretty resourceful so it probably won't be that big a hiatus before in some form I'm back here doing what I do. And remember where you saw it first. wmexpressway.net has brought this series to a truly worldwide audience (you only have to check out the torrent sites to find out that!) What we have here is pretty magical and I, for one intend to keep that jam going!

super jakko i have really appreciated the translation youve done. You took out your time just to translate/encode a 20+ minute loooong film and if its in the industry you could have already earned thousands of dollars. Thanks again i really appreciate it.

If no one will be willing to sub then let it be give them some fresh air. Encoding is a very tedious task. As for what i'll do I'll just watch the future episodes in japanese though I can only understand roughly half of the conversations since i still havent reached a higher proficiency.

I was hoping to be on the heels of SuperjakkoTM's release, but I finished it and figured I'd let the surprise out a little earlier.

I got bored and took the liberty of subbing episode 13, which happened to contain way more complex dialog than episode 12 did. There's a lot of guesses, but I think I got the point across 90% of the time.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/y5iv7z

and the torrent is located http://www.datorrents.com/torrent/36523--d...idnight-13-avi/

PLEASE SEED if you download it. I'm trying to get it out, but my upload is hardly any fast.

Enjoy fellas. I'm not sure if I'll continue with 14, but a little motivation could help =)

WOW MAN! 2 Wangan episodes in one weekend?! Thanks! I was going to just download it, but I'll do BT instead. I'll help you upload. I'll leave my computer on for the night and upload as fast as possible. However by tomorrow when I have to use the computer again, I'll probably shut BT off.

I'll also post here to see if there's any mistakes and stuff. My Japanese isn't good so take my advice with a grain of rice. I may be right, I may be wrong, I don't know. Hopefully, the members who know more Japanese can help out here.

Thanks, I'm looking to see what kind of mistakes I made, too.

You can always download it from the direct download and use that file to seed the torrent. Just set the torrent's download location to the folder the .avi is in and it'll check it to make sure it's the same and seed with it.

I think you already did a good job, Darkzero... I can help you point some mistakes on it:

1. The text for normal conversation and character's thoughts

2. The picture is slightly smaller (encoding maybe?)

3. There are two '?' on the text (ex. when Takagi ask Akio to change his brake fluid, and when Reina is cruisng with RGO's GT-R)

What did Takagi said to Akio? Maybe I can help you to look it up...

May I suggest a mod or admin to add the link to the first post of this thread? Thanks.

One of the "?" in the subs appears at 13:14 when Takagi said デフ, which means the limited slip differential.

Oh wow, where did Darkzero get Japanese subtitles from?! Talk about cutting the time it takes to sub in half!! With Japanese subs you already have perfect timing and translation source.

Awesome!

I haven't watched the episode since 12 isn't subbed yet, but I'm pretty sure デフ just means differential, not limited slip differential. Maybe it is just assumed to mean limited slip diff, but katakana words in Japanese often sound like their English translation (especially when talking about car parts), and if you sound out デフ it just sounds like "diff".

Haha not exactly. I actually did most of the sub the old fashioned way.
I listened to it and looked up certain words and terms I didn't know.
I also used the manga to help because most of the show is taken from it, luckily. Some of the it isn't in the manga, so I had to use my ears.

Thanks guys, it gives me some motivation to keep going.
I won't put set time for how long it'll take me to get 14 out, but just know that I'll be working on it and it WILL come sooner or later.

I'm in the middle of job-hunting for the summer (not turning out too well) and I may get hired sooner or later, so things may slow down. I did ep 13 because I was bored of the job search and figured I might as well try.

Should be putting it up in the next day or so. Sorry I've been away for a bit. It's been so hectic at work at the moment and I'm getting so much overtime it's unreal. Happy days though because I've acquired translations up to episode 18 so we're good for a while. I don't mind stepping aside if Darkzero wants to carry on though. I've not seen the episode 13 yet but it's getting plenty of good props so I'll probably download it later on today. It's really cool when people share the load and don't just give you hassle chasing you for things. Thanks Darkzero!

No problem SuperjakkoTM, I can't see myself joining to beg for an episode. I figured I had just enough skill and understanding of Japanese to try it myself. It took some time, but I got around to finishing it.

In the other thread, you said you got your hands on 13-18 in 'cack english' which means it'll be easier to sub. If you'd like to continue, then please do so. I don't mind continuing, but those shoddy translations would really help out the cause as well.
